The development achieved in the information and knowledge society it has allowed the increase of information at an uncontrollable rate in all areas of knowledge. As a result, it has show a strong impact on the diversification of informational supports, in the flow of information, in the transmission of knowledge and at the same time, limitations have experienced to carry the university student the essence of everything that tribute to their vocational training. The present work aims to develop a procedure for the processing of scientific information in the main integrator discipline of the engineering forestry career of the University of Granma. The research was developed in three stages: diagnosis of the current status of scientific information processing, design and evaluation of the procedure, which allowed the application of techniques and instruments to achieve the final design of the procedure. Key results include the development of skills in students, that respond to an adequate professional training undergraduate, from the use of sources of information in different support. The study reveals that the proper use of each information source enhances the quality of the teaching process - learning, establishing new relationships around the processing of scientific information.
