| 4. | Description | Abstract | I. INTRODUCTION A problematic situation characterized by the disconnection between the different networks related to the communication of Cuban scientific results poses us as the problem that: There is no space, system or integral tool in the Cuban context that allows the registration, management, accessibility and evaluation of Cuban scientific publications; And that it also fosters spaces for collaboration and interrelation between institutions, researchers, teachers, editors, librarians and other professionals from Cuba and the rest of the world. One answer to this problem is the Tocororo Project: Integrated system for the management, evaluation and visibility of Cuban scientific publications. Whose general objective is: Develop a virtual space for the comprehensive management of Cuban scientific production published in journals, which contributes to its continuous improvement, access and visibility and to the interrelationships among all the actors involved in those processes. II. OBJECTIVE Communicate the existence of the project, its objectives, expected results, and the current status of its implementation, including services utilized by the community. III. METHODOLOGY The need for the project, its objectives, planning, expected results and proposed services is justified. IV. RESULTS The obtained results obtained so far in the project are presented: - Catalog of Cuban Scientific Journals. - List of databases that include Cuban magazines. - Proposal of XML format to share basic information of Cuban journals. - OJS plugin for communication and inclusion of journals in the Catalog. V. CONCLUSIONS The impact of the publication of the Catalog on the university community reaffirms the need for the services proposed in the project, confirming the importance of its execution for the Cuban scientific community. |
